Audi India is targeting to sell 1,500 cars this year. Compared to last year, this will be an increase of over 450 units. Already in a very comfortable position in the Indian luxury car market, the company is also anticipating to capture 15 per cent share in the domestic
luxury car market.
"Going by the sales trend, we are confident of exceeding the target. We have sold 1,128 units during the first eight months of this calendar year. Our client profile is an equal mix of first time luxury car buyers as well as those who drive competing brands," Anil Reddi, Head of Sales, Audi India.
"While our cars will offer a differentiated value proposition, Audi showrooms will offer a new experience for the buyers," he said. He also said that Audi India showrooms and service stations were a work of state-of-the-art.
Audi has recently, just a week before, launched the
Audi 2010 Q7 in India. Currently Audi India has in its portfolio eight models, including luxury cars such as A6 and A4 and sports cars like
Audi TT and Audi R8.
