India already has many insurance companies providing
car insurance. Western India Automobile Association recently launched a car insurance product in partnership with IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance. IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Co-operative Limited) was created in 1967 as a multi-unit co-operative society for production and distribution of fertilisers. Japan's Tokio Marine and Fire Insurance Co. Ltd. was established in 1879 to provide quality products, services, and insurance solutions. The car insurance product from the partnership between Western India and IFFCO-Tokio is now available in Mumbai. They are planning to extend their services to Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Goa soon.
IFFCO-Tokio has many other insurance policies which include Home and Family Protection Policy, Travel Protection Policy, Trade Protection Policy, and so on.
This insurance has “claim to fame” offers against other car policy providers. News reporters quote the Western India Automobile Association’s President saying that “The USP of our car insurance is claims processing that could be done at minimum time. Besides that, our clients would get attractive membership rates, free ambulance services, and free towing services.”
A private car
insurance policy provides coverage for loss of or damage to your car against the risk of accident, fire, flood, and so on. It also gives coverage for ones’ liability due to death or injury to a third party. But what may attract the consumers to go for IFFCO-Tokio’s car insurance are the offers that come along with the insurance; the free ambulance service in case of an accident or the free towing service when you are helpless in the middle of nowhere.
