Ford Launches Road Assistance Service in Four Cities

12 August, 2008
Ford India has proclaimed to introduce the Roadside Assistance Service (RSA) in four more cities in India – Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore and Jaipur.

Earlier the company had launched these services in nine major cities including metros and with the addition of four more cities, the total number has gone up to 13.

The Ford India said, “The RSA initiative is a programme launched by the company to provide its customers a hassle-free driving experience in and around the city.”

The company also announced that, “Now with the launch of RSA services in Jaipur, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Coimbatore, Ford owners will have the reassurance that they can call upon this premium service for immediate assistance round the clock. This service programme consists of a fleet of two types of vehicles including flat bed trucks and emergency response motorcycles. The flat bed truck allows consumers to get vehicle carried to the car service centre and get them repaired without the damages generally experienced during the towing of cars.”

Mr. Nigel E Wark said, “The customers have been very complementary about the support they have received, particularly the concept of the car being transported on a truck and not towed. With the third phase, we will cover around 60 % of Ford car owners in the country.”
