Fiat Linea Priced at Rs 6 Lakh - Rs 9 Lakh

Fiat Linea is all set to be launched in the Indian car market. The expected price range of the car is Rs 6 Lakh to Rs 9 Lakh.

The petrol version of the proposed new car will be available in the price range of Rs 6.20 Lakh – Rs 8 Lakh and the diesel version in the range of Rs 7.30 Lakh – Rs 9 Lakh. The petrol car is to be powered by a 1.4 Litre engine whereas the diesel counterpart will be available with an engine capacity of 1.3 Litre.

The production of Fiat Linea was started in November 2008 in the Tata-Fiat facility at Ranjangaon, a plant equipped with a production capacity of 2 Lakh units annually. The company has already dispatched the cars to its dealers across the country.

According to official sources, Fiat Linea will be localized by 55% which is expected to increase to 90% by the end of 2009.
