Audi Reports Three-Fold Rise in Car Sales

Audi India, a German luxury car manufacturer, reported a three-fold rise in car sales during the fiscal 2008.

The company recorded a car sales of 1,050 units in the year 2008 which is much higher compared to with the sales 349 units in the year 2007. In a span of one year, the company has taken a huge flight from 349 to 1,050 in terms of car sales.

In the month of December 2008, the company witnessed a sales of 76 units against 31 units sold in corresponding month previous year. Overall the company posted two-fold rise in December sales and three-fold rise in the annual sales as compared to previous year.

Rejoicing the three-fold rise in car sales, the MD of Audi India, Benoit Tiers, said, “The year 2008 has been an exciting time for Audi India as we not only have achieved, but exceeded our projected targets despite the overall slowdown in the automobile market.”
