After a long time of slowdown in the Indian car market, Mahindra & Mahindra reports a good jump in its car sales. The company registers 31.67% jump in its sales in the month of September this fiscal which accounts for about 24,481 units over 18,593 units in September 2007.

The cumulative sales including the domestic as well as export totals grew by 27.81 per cent in September 2008 at around 25,427 vehicles. In the corresponding month last year, the company registered sales of 19,895 vehicles, which accounts for 5,532 units lower than the sales figure of September this fiscal.

The total export and the sale of the most successful passenger car, Mahindra Renault Logan, has slowed down by 27.34% and 19.78% respectively, as compared to the sales figure of the corresponding month the previous year. Despite of this slowdown, the cumulative sales has reported a high jump.

Mahindra & Mahindra has many future plans for India that are expected to have a better sales figure in the years ahead. It is one leading manufacturer that is gradually expanding its presence in the most promising Indian market.
