Fiat Sells 10,000 Linea since its Launch

The Fiat India Automobiles Limited (FIAL) is a 50-50 joint venture between Fiat Group Automobiles (Fiat) and Tata Motors Limited. Linea is a sedan from the FIAL's stable and it has sold 10,000 units till date in India. FIAL launched Linea in January this year.

This number is of great importance as during this period last year, Fiat had sold only 3,550 cars.

"Fiat has been deeply-rooted in the Indian psyche for many decades now and we want to see a lot many Fiat vehicles plying on Indian roads. The milestone achieved by Linea is a testimony that we are inching closer towards this goal," said FIAL CEO Rajeev Kapoor.

Another model from Fiat, Grande Punto, got launched this year. Within three months since the Punto got launched, over 5,000 units were sold.

The company has not announced any new launches in India. But with the increase in sales of its models, the company is sure to bring out new models.
