Mercedes-Benz launches S 500 L, GL 350 CDI in India

Mercedes-Benz has launched two news models in India, the S 500 L and GL 350 CDI.

Mercedes-Benz S500L is a new variant of the S-Class family. The S500L is powered by a 5.5 litre V8 petrol engine. The engine is mated with an automatic transmission and can deliver a power output of 388 bhp. The luxury sedan is priced at Rs 95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The GL 350 CDI is a luxury crossover SUV that can accompany seven passengers that equips three row seating. It features Mercedes-Benz's BlueEfficiency Technology, and has a fuel efficiency of 10.75 km/litre.

The Mercedes Benz GL-Class engine features including 3.0 L V6 diesel engine coupled to a powerful 7G-Tronic automatic transmission gearbox. The GL 350 CDI is equipped to be driven on four wheel drive. This crossover SUV is priced at Rs 64.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Wilfied Aulbur, MD and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, said that the company was confident of attaining a double-digit growth in 2010.
