Rolls Royce Ghost to haunt India

Rolls Royce Motor Cars has announced its plans to launch its new global model, Ghost, in India by the end of 2009.

Rolls Royce Ghost, the fifth-generation Rolls Royce Phantom, is designed by Ian Cameron and engineered by Helmut Riedl. The Ghost is a new, small ultra-luxury sedan.

Mr.Colin Kelly, Regional Director, Asia Pacific, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said that the “Ghost” will be formally exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and will be displayed at the company showrooms in India, by November or December.

Rolls Royce is a wholly owned subsidiary of the BMW Group. BMW is now the country’s number one luxury car manufacturer and this new addition to its range of models will surely help BMW improve its sales. This launch will also reflect BMW’s dedication to launch its models in India soon after it has been launched in the global market.

The car is expected be priced between Rs. 1.2 - Rs. 1.3 crore in Indian Market.
