Top 7 New Cars With APEAL
Recently, J.D. Power Asia has released the 10th annual survey of cars that unveils the cars which rank highest in APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout).
The survey reveals the customer insight with respect to new vehicle’s performance during the initial two to six months of ownership as well as their design. The study ranks all the car models that have rejoiced success in the car market as well as gained owners confidence, which in turn have resulted in enhanced customer commitment to a specified brand. The customers who are satisfied with their current makes and models are further willing to recommend and repurchase their existing car.
The study releases the results based on 10 vehicle factors including vehicle's exterior, interior, storage and space, audio/entertainment/navigation, seats, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), driving dynamics, engine/transmission, visibility and driving safety, and fuel economy.
On a scale of 1000 points, India averages 787 in terms of APEAL. It is believed that Hyundai has shown great improvements with respect to HVAC and overall the Indian car industry has shown major improvements in audio/entertainment/navigation.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR
Maruti Suzuki WagonR has topped the compact car segment with a rating of 802 on a 1000 point scale.
The redesigned versions of the WagonR are impressive with slick design, sassy front grille, streamlined bumper, sporty tail lamp, and upgraded lights. Though the car is boxy is shape, it has impressed many car consumers with its excellent performance on city roads as well as highways. The car has good cabin space as well as ample storage along with other pleasing car amenities including the ergonomically designed car seats, head rests, an ashtray, front and rear door pockets, and compatible floor carpets.
The WagonR is available in two versions, one is the petrol version and the other is fitted with the LPG factory kit. Both the versions of the car are doing wonders in the domestic market and are among the highest selling hatchbacks.

The only difference can be judged from the rear of the car where the Swift hatchback is smartly converted to a sedan.
