A two-door stylish coupe is quite uncommon in India. People rarely go for it, unless they want to flaunt their wealth. The coupes are the stylish cousins of sedans. From small cars to the big sedans, 99 percent of the cars are all four door cars. In India people still consider cars to be a family transportation vehicle. The base CL 500 has a 5.5L V8 engine which churns out 388 hp and is linked to 7-speed automatic transmission with an optional manual gear. Even the base engine can reach 0-100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds, which is an amazing feat for a large car. One glance at the coupe and it can leave a onlooker ‘starstruck’. The strong character lines running on its sides, long tapered roofline and pillarless windows offers the classic look. The leather and wood trimmed interior available in five colour schemes looks distinctive.
