Many of the car freaks buy cars in excitement but are they buying the car that really suits them is a big mystery. There are many reasons as to why they end up buying a car even though they had no plan of buying one. Such situation happens in both the cases when you are buying a used car as well as brand new cars.
Here are some of the reasons where one can end up buying cars that may not be of their choice:
Sometimes it can be the price factor. Buyers cannot invest on cars that they actually plan for. For instance if a buyer thinks of buying an SX4 but he does not have sufficient funds to buy then he lands up in buying a Swift or Getz. These two are completely different and here he makes a wrong choice as he plans to go for a sedan and finally ends up with a hatchback.
Always go for a test drive for the vehicle you are actually planning to buy. Because many a times buyers opt for some other vehicle that they had not thought for and finally fall in love with the car and go for it. However, later on it affects the budget and the whole plan would go for a toss.
Many a times there is no intention for the buyer to buy a new vehicle because the person already owns a car or does not have proper funds to buy one. In such a situation, one needs to be in control and not get excited. So the best way is to go for a ‘window shopping' where one does not need to know the price and certainly does not need to speak to anyone.

Many of the buyers are influenced by others. For instance: If one of their relative/neighbour owns a Honda CR-V as it is a necessity for their big family. The other person feels unsecured and tries to show off that even he can afford for it. So many a times it is done just to show off to others and not really bought, as he/she wants it.
When it is a family decision, there will be multiple choices within the family where finally the buyer ends up according to the family's choice and goes for the one the family wants, which he did not want to buy.
The buyer plans to buy a used car and the salesperson in such cases brainwash the buyer and finally if a buyer thinks of buying a Santro will finally ends up with Accent. Therefore, the buyer needs to be firm with his decision and not be carried away with the salesperson.
As there is an increase in fuel prices in India, many of the car buyers go for the cars, which are more fuel-efficient and finally are not satisfied with what they have purchased.
When buying a car you have a clear picture of what you exactly want rather than allowing others to take decision for you. You need to be a decision maker and take right decision as to what kind of car you want to buy. You are truly the master of your destiny when it comes to buying a car.
