2011 Chevrolet Volt
The much-anticipated 2011 Chevrolet Volt was showcased at the LA Auto Show. The new
Chevy Volt is not a plug-in hybrid, but rather it is an extended-range electric vehicle (E-REV). The 2011 Chevrolet Volt will differ markedly from the Prius and other petrol/electric hybrids. It will also differ in many ways from the racy-looking Volt concept unveiled at the January 2007 Detroit Auto Show. It will go on sale next year.
Honda P-NUT Concept
The Honda P-NUT Concept has been the show?s most whimsical debutante. The Personal-Neo Urban Transport (P-NUT) hints at a car that city dwellers may be able to drive in the not-so-distant future. The concept car is a 3-passenger car that features a centre driving configuration bundled with a rear engine layout. But the small car has surprisingly enough leg room for rear passengers as two rear seats flank the centre driving position. Moreover, there are no side mirrors on the concept model, but there is a back-up camera. It has been built with a minimal footprint to make it easy to manoeuvre in cities.
Honda says the P-NUT is ready for one of three possible powertrains: an efficient fuel engine, a fuel-electric hybrid, or a pure electric set up.
2011 Toyota Sienna
Toyota won many accolades for the 2011 Sienna. This handsome minivan is a kind of ultra-utilitarian transportation solution that will hit the US by February 2010. The third-generation Toyota Sienna is very sporty and could be driven more like a sedan while still accommodating more people and luggages with equal ease.
Built on a revised version of the outgoing platform, the 2011 Sienna has the same wheelbase but is slightly shorter, lower and wider than its predecessor. It will be available in five variants. Moreover, the V6 is the same 3.5-liter Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) unit with 266 horsepower. The 2011 Toyota Sienna will also come in VVT-i 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine with 187 bhp.

2011 Ford Fiesta
The 2011 Ford Fiesta is another “world-car” project a la Ford's 1981 Escort and 2000 Focus. The all new 2011 Fiesta comes in both as 4-door and 5-door configurations. The 2011 Fiesta marks Ford's re-entry in the sub-compact market with a model good enough to attract the young car buyers. The car aggressively features European styling and bright colours. The model is already highly successful in overseas market and is the second biggest seller in Europe.
Ford Motors expects the new model to be equally popular in the US market once it hits the showrooms.
2011 Ford Mustang
The muscular Mustang is back! The 2011 Ford Mustang was a crowd puller at the Auto Show. The new 2011 Mustang model can derive a robust power of 305 bhp with its 6-cylinder engine. The all new model of the famous
muscle car comes with 6-speed automatic gearbox and a fully designed air-intake system. The 2011 Ford Mustang can offer good fuel economy too. This car will go into production early next year and will again give a tough competition to its arch-rival Chevy Camaro.
Mini
The legendary
Mini was showcased in Coupe and Roadster Concepts at the Los Angeles Auto Show. These Concepts are confirmed for production at an undisclosed future date. The Mini Coupe is designed to fit a 1.6L twin-scroll turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that can deliver 208 bhp and a torque of 260 Nm. On the other hand, the Mini Roadster Concept is designed to carry a 1.6L twin-scroll turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that will churn out a power of 175 bhp and 240 Nm of torque.
2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder
Porsche has unveiled the 2011 Boxster Spyder that will go on sales in the American market from February 2011. The 2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder is a lightweight version of the Boxster. The all new Boxster Spyder comes with a 3.4L 6-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection with an output of 320 bhp. This sports car also features PDK transmission, a new sport suspension that lowers the Boxster Spyder 0.8 inch, a lower center of gravity and a standard limited-slip differential, as well as exclusive wheels.
Audi e-Tron Concept
With four electric motors, two each at the front and rear axles, the
Audi e-Tron Concept can produce a power of 313 bhp and 4500 Nm of torque. It can accelerate 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and run at a top speed of 200 km/h. The Audi e-Tron is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack which is mounted on the rear axle to keep the achieve perfect weight distribution.
BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept
The
BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept is powered by a 163 bhp 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo-diesel and two electric-motors that can produce 356 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. This BMW can accelerate from static to 100km in 4.8 seconds and can travel at a top speed of 250 km/h. In EV mode, the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept can drive 50 kilometres of zero-emissions driving.
