Ford Airstream concept

The
Ford Airstream concept was showcased during the Detroit Auto Show 2007. This Ford concept looks like a machine from the future. Say goodbye to increasing fuel prices. The car is powered by a HySeries Drive powertrain featuring a hydrogen fuel cell that provides continuous electric power. The fuel cell, switches on automatically when the battery charge comes below 40 percent. With the on-board charger (110/220 VAC), the battery pack can be refilled at home too.
Toyota i-Real concept

The modern day concept cars are continuously blurring the lines between a car and scooter. The Toyota i-Real concept, which was unveiled during the Tokyo Auto Show in 2007, takes the "personal transportation" to new heights. This personal mobility vehicle seems like a natural evolution of the I-Unit, constructed from lightweight carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The concept boasts of operating controls located in the side arm rests in lieu of a steering wheel.
Nissan NV200 concept
Nissan took the wraps off this concept during the Tokyo Auto Show in 2007. This concept features a lineup of 1.5 and 1.6L gas and diesel engines to drive the front wheels, and even features a storage module that slides out from the rear doors. Nissan designers have brought a new option that could just be the coolest thing around for some professionals, like ocean photographers.
Mazda Ryuga concept

Showcased during the Detroit Auto Show, the Mazda Ryuga concept is the perfect blend of creative design and engineering. Flowing lines, gullwing doors, and exquisite interiors are what set it a step ahead of other concept cars. Black leather adorns the dash, punctuated with contrasting silver metal. Of particular importance is the floating, blue-lit gauge pod and open-top steering wheel, as well as the console that pierces the center tunnel.
Acura NSX Advanced Sports Car concept

The Acura NSX looked much like a
Ferrari supercar, and was also sold in small numbers during 1990 to 2005. But that was like ages ago. Now, we have Acura NSX Advanced Sports Car Concept which is powered by a front-mounted V-10 engine and a new high-performance rear-wheel-drive based version of Acura's 'Super Handling All-Wheel Drive' (SH-AWD). The keen-edge design of this concept makes it an exotic car. Let's just hope that Honda takes it to the production floor soon.
Toyota FT-HS Hybrid Sports Car concept

Unveiled during the 2006 Detroit Auto Show, the
Toyota FT-HS Hybrid Sports Car concept looks phenomenal. It is much like a two-door sports coupe that could be the most desired replacement to the Toyota Supra. The motor in the FT-HS can push the sleek coupe to 60 mph in 4 seconds. Power comes from a 3.5 liter V6 coupled with the electric motor used in the GS 450h. The car can seat four people and has a 50:50 weight balance.
Lexus LF-A concept

As hot as any other Toyota concept cars, the Lexus LF-A concept was unveiled during the 2005 North American International Auto Show. Lexus is Toyota's premier brand and has a lofty image to support. And with the LF-A concept, this image would be taken to new heights. The concept is on its way to production, and let's just hope that the way is smooth. The Lexus LF-A concept comes equipped with an engine that is capable of developing more than 500 horsepower from a displacement of less than five liters. The perfect combination of optimum gearing, weight and aerodynamics make the LF-A concept touch a top speed of 200 miles per hour.
McLaren M Eleven B concept

The
McLaren M Eleven B concept came as a result of a design competition by McLaren for final year students of Transport Design at IED (Istituto Italiano di Design) in Turin, Italy. The challenge was to design "A 320 km/h plus sports car" for McLaren, and the car should provide the owner Formula 1 technology for the road and superb dynamic and aerodynamic performance. No hint as to whether this car would be produced at not, but we would certainly hope that McLaren takes it to the production facilities.
Maybach Excelero concept

Maybach is
Mercedes Benz's premier car brand, and the Excelero concept proved just that. The 700 bhp two-seater Excelero concept with a V-12 biturbo engine is a unique custom model produced for Fulda Reifenwerke, which is using it as a reference vehicle for a newly developed generation of wide tyres. Well, the company does not plan to produce this concept, but that does not stop us from hoping for the impossible.
Toyota Volta concept

Toyota, which seems bent on changing hybrid car's meek image for good, has brought in the Volta hybrid sportscar, and it looks amazingly good. The Volta gets the basic Toyota hybrid engine blueprint. The concept car can cruise at 435-mph, and electric 0-60 mph time of 4 seconds. A unique feature of the Volta is the drive-by-wire control system that allows any of the three - yes, three - front seat occupants to assume control of the vehicle just by having said controls moved in front of them.
GMC Denali XT concept

The GMC Denali XT concept car was first unveiled at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show. And if this car gets into the production lines, an entire range Hummers, Excursions and Suburbans would find it difficult to survive. And though the Denali XT concept looks like a gas guzzler, it actually is not. The car is equipped with a 326 horsepower, 4.9 litre V8 engine. Flex-fuel capability, direct fuel injection and GM's proven Active Fuel Management system gives you twice the fuel economy.
