Lithium-Ion Battery
This is the introduction for the conceptualization of electric vehicles. Since 1992 the car Nissan has been developing this technology with the key desire to increase power and capacity. Different lithium-ion batteries are developed for hybrid vehicles that are designed to improve acceleration and fuel efficiency. They also have the same size as the conventional lithium-ion batteries but are twice as powerful.
Eco Drive Support Service
This is one of the most helpful and significant innovation by Nissan. The key aim of this technology is to provide information to the driver that supports him or her to ensure a fuel-efficient driving. Driver can change his driving habits through the Eco Dive Support Service and this will eventually contribute to reduce carbon dioxide emission.
Intelligent Cruise Control
This is one of the best technologies that offer a safe and comfortable driving. When this type of cruise control is installed in any vehicle then the system integrates route-information through the on-board navigation system so that the speed of the car can be controlled and any collision with the vehicle ahead can be prevented.
Lane Departure Warning
This innovative technology helps the driver to keep its vehicle in its own lane of driving. This is an electronic system that monitors the position of the vehicle within its lane and in case of any discrepancy it warns the driver. The system uses a camera that records a video image of the vehicle with respect to its lateral position, lateral velocity, and acceleration. It also warns the driver if the system fails and if the lane markings are inadequate for detection.
4-wheel Active Steer
4-wheel Active Steer (4WAS) controls all the four steering angles. It helps to improve stability and response at high speed. 4 wheel active steer also helps reduce driver’s steering load at low speed.
Active Headrest
Active headrest is a safety feature that reduces the pressure on the neck in rear end collisions. It is believed that over 905 of the injuries caused to car passengers in case of rear collisions is on the neck. If in case there is an accident the seat occupant is pushed against the seat and this activates the active headrest system. On activation the system immediately push forwards the head restrain to firmly support the head of the occupant. In short, it reduces the force acting to bend the neck in case of rear accidents.
Drunk-Driving Prevention Concept
Drunk-Driving Prevention Concept is a completely new concept designed by Nissan. The innovative concept uses multiple of preventive features against drunken driving. The system detects the condition of the driver and then warns the driver to stop the car if he is drunk.
Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)
Continuously Variable Transmission provides smooth and easy ratio changes unlike the conventional transmission systems. It is a type of automatic transmission that helps improve fuel efficiency and offer seamless acceleration. The system uses two pulleys with a steel belt running between them and these pulleys play a major role in smooth shifting of gears. The steel belt is strong enough to handle high amount of torque input of different engines with respect to multiple sizes, displacements and power levels.
Scratch-Shield
Scratch Shield is a clearcoat paint that maintains the new look of any car for a longer period of time. It is composed of highly elastic resin that is combined with conventional clear coat and is used to repair fine scratches.
Metamo System
Metamo System is a completely new concept by Nissan. This new concept enables independent control of angles and position of each wheel. This in turn ensures an even load across the chassis to comply with the driving conditions. The technology offers a new type of chassis movement that enhances ease of driving and ensures stability with minimum body movement while accelerating, braking, and cornering.
