Top Personalities Killed in Car Accidents

Not even the cars which have been priced high for its most modern safety feature can change the destiny, and this could be very much evident from the number of accident deaths that has happened till date. Many have died in accidents and many have survived miraculously. The reasons for the car accidents could be carelessness, reckless driving, and of course, bad luck.
Below mentioned are some car accidents that claimed the lives of some famous personalities. The cars, which have been used by most of them, were world-class models, but it was not able to survive the accident neither did its passengers:

bullet  Diana, Princess of Wales

The fatal accident involving Princess Diana resulting in her death happened in Paris on August 31, 1997. The car had the most modern safety features of the time including airbags and Electronic Stability program (ESP). More than the safety features of the car, it is the rash and speedy driving that should be blamed for the accident as the driver of the car was trying to avoid the paparazzi who were hounding Princess Diana. If the car's safety features were not competent enough, then no one would have survived, but Al-Fayed's body guard survived because of the airbags. In fact the passengers didn't make use of the passive safety features in the car; none of them had worn the seat belts. The accident is also said to be a conspiracy against Diana as there were people who wanted her dead.

Jean was travelling at a speed of 89 kmph, wishing to get familiarized with his new car as he wanted to take it for sports car race. But Dean ended up in an accident when his car collided head on with a Ford Tudor which came in the opposite direction. This accident happened in 1955, and the cars of the period didn't have such developed safety features, like these days, equipped enough to save people from such deadly accidents. Dean was still alive after the accident, and he was rushed to the hospital from where he died, leaving thousands of fans awestruck.

Lopes was a teen idol and a very talented girl. Famously known as the Left eye, Lopes was also a Grammy award Winner. She was a member of the contemporary R&B group TCL. Lisa Nicole Lopes was driving a Red Mitsubishi Pajero when she met with the accident. It was only Lopes who didn't survive the crash when all the rest of them did. Lopes, in order to avoid a head on collision with a car that was coming from the opposite side, veered off from the road. She was thrown out of the car when it hit many trees and rolled upside down. The Pajero, according to a survey, is prone to rollovers and Lopes' mother; three years after her daughter's death sued Mitsubishi Motors for not warning the customers that its Pajero is susceptible to rollovers. But the case went nowhere as all the others in the car survived and the blame was put more on Lopes and bad luck.
