Alternative Fuel that will never Come to Being

This is just not alternative at the time of rising fuel prices. It is also a way to “green”. To lessen our reliance on costly, polluting fossil fuels, a lot of new energy sources are being explored. Wind energy, hybrid cars, electric cars, hydrogen fuel cells, biodiesel, and ethanol. You would find the world of alternative energy bizarre and erratic.

Almost anything that can be burned can be made use as a fuel source, but it will not work on a large scale, a varied energy source has to meet certain criteria. And they are, it has to create added energy for a smaller amount than the existing technologies, it must be widely available in large quantities and it should produce minimal pollution.

Which weird energy sources suit the criteria? You might be astonished by some of the alternative fuel solutions that is given here. The wackiest of the energy sources, this will most likely never catch on.

bullet Cat Corpse

As per the news that came in a German newspaper report that came out in 2005, an inventor had developed a fuel system that could be powered by garbage, including dead cats. The new included a full tank of fuel would require 20 cats.

The truth was that Dr. Christian Koch did invent a machine that can convert garbage such as paper, plastics, and yard waste into biodiesel fuel. But it never produced fuel from dead cats. The dead-cat approach was apparently invented by a ghastly, but creative reporter. Koch's KDV 500 device can apparently turn trash into gas at a steep discount compared to prices at the pump.

bullet Wood Waste and Sawdust

This idea of generating enough sawdust to produce a useful amount of energy might sound eccentric. All the trash from industrial wood processing is generally redundant. Some of it is reprocessed into particle board or into wood pellets for stoves, but there's still a lot of unused waste wood out there. When rotten, the wood waste is actually an environmental hazard that creates methane, a harmful greenhouse gas.

The sawdust can be burned at a power plant designed for this purpose. The heat is used to generate electricity. The idea is more than feasible, it's already in practice -- a 14-megawatt wood waste power plant is being built in Nigeria.

bullet Solar Paint

We are here talking about a special solar paint that captures the energy of the sun. Swansea University engineers are working on what is essentially a paint-on solar panel that can be practically used on the steel panels that is used to cover many buildings. The interaction of the sun with the paint and the underlying steel surface creates a current that can be captured and diverted

bullet Dirty Diapers

Dirty diapers sound equally disgusting as dead cats. But used diapers are an excellent fuel source. The garbage can be turned into fuel gas and fuel oil by using a process called pyrolysis

We have a lot of disposable diapers, and babies constantly generate more. And it would be relatively easy to use special recycling bins to separate them from other garbage. Pyrolysis is best when it has been fine-tuned to the material being heated. Mixed garbage is full of all kinds of random materials, and you never know what sort of mix you're going to get each day. We know what kind of the plastics and fabrics are used in their manufacture, and what is the waste material.

Fuel products is the output of taking in dirty diapers for finely tuned pyrolysis.. A power company in Quebec, Canada is planning a plant to test the technology.

bullet Beer

Ethanol can be made by fermenting sugars, It is a great idea. It may be a good answer for certain individuals, and improvements in technology are making ethanol easier to produce at home; however, there are still a few reasons why this won't work on a large scale. The economics just don't work out.

The biggest problem might actually be the effort involved. As only a few section of the population is highly motivated and technically skilled, and they'd love the thought of brewing their own fuel but the rest won't be interested.
