BMW knows how to avoid car accident

Everybody knows that BMW cars are the in-thing in fashion nowadays. Apart from the fantastic power and looks BMW also offers you a wide variety of safety features which are not available in other cars. It has the most modern safety technology that anyone can think of.

Newly installed Active Cruise Control System in the 5 series and 6 series cars automatically stop the vehicle to avoid a car accident without the brakes being pressed. A radar sensor constantly monitors the vehicles ahead of it in order to avoid a collision. The safe distance required to be maintained between two vehicles and the driving speed is programmable according to the driver’s preference. This system enables the car to drive on its own without any intervention by the driver. The only thing that a driver needs to do is to control the steering wheel. revert back to the same speed as soon as the traffic starts moving. The car can come to halt, if someone tries to come in your path from a different lane. Whenever you wish to re-start the car, simply press the resume button to continue the journey.

The car can read the lanes because of a camera placed behind the rear-view mirror. If the car notices that the driver is veering out from the lane, the steering wheel vibrates in order to alert the driver about it. And remember all this can be done without keeping your foot on the brake peddles.

A driver who can come home driving a 100 kms and still appear fresh is unimaginable. A distressed driver will be more active to react to emergencies. Same technology will soon be available to lower end BMW cars.
