On the other hand, when you leave your car for service the car mechanics ask you to go for rust-proofing, fabric protection, and paint sealant etc. Are these accessories really needed to be installed? Extended Warranty

An extended warranty is also called as service agreement or service contract, or a maintenance agreement. It is a prolonged warranty offered to the car buyers. The extended warranty may be offered by the warranty administrator, the retailer or the car manufacturer. However, these warranties extend the period of the manufacturer's standard warranty. If you are planning to stay with your car for a long time then you can go for this offer. An extended warranty can be a good investment only when the car needs major repair. Try not to buy from dealers and you might get a better offer through independent insurers.
