In an attempt to bring down increasing levels of pollution, the Korean tyre giant Kumho has designed the world’s first eco-friendly racing concept car with BAMBOO! It is christened as “Kumho Epoch”. The Korean giant brought together brilliant creative minds with innovative ideas to conceptualize a car designed only with natural resources that will greatly contribute in maintaining the ecological balance.
The company undertook the challenge of designing this completely eco-friendly racing car after being stimulated by its success in the Le Mans 20-hour race. This concept car does not contain any steel or iron in its structure and is built with bamboo, recycled tyre-thread rubber, and other sustainable raw materials. This single-seater is packed with innovative
hybrid technology and has a chassis built out of bamboo. Its body panels use recycled tyre-threat rubber. The interiors are designed with an aromatherapy scented cabin. Bamboo is given preference in designing this car because the Bamboo wood is durable, eco-friendly, renewable, and strong in nature. Also, it looks beautiful and attractive when shaped properly.
