Stability Control :
This is actually a crash avoidance system that comprises of sensors regulated by a computerized technology. The system helps in detecting loss of steering control, preventing skids and monitoring the indented direction of the driver. In any kind of divergence, the computerized system will automatically activate the brakes and stop the car.
Navigation System :
This is a GPS activated system that provides a detailed map of various streets and roads of a particular city, leading the driver by providing pointed directions or routes. The more advanced system can also guide drivers and occupants to ATMs, hospitals, bakeries, restaurants and other common places. It is simply like a moving directory, moving with the driver.
Airbags :
These are basically cushioned structure that protects the rear passengers during collision or any kind of car accident. When the car undergoes a severe accident, the sensors starts activating and fill gas in the bags. The air filled bags help in cushioning the passengers. There are mainly two types of
airbags, side and frontal airbags. Side impact airbags are those that get involved when side collision is severe. These air bags are fitted either in the seatback or in the doors. Frontal air bags are fitted in the steering wheel and are functional during frontal crashes to protect the driver from injuries.
Antilock Braking System (ABS) :
Antilock Braking System is a safety system that is used to lock wheels during brake. This eventually helps in reducing the stopping distance and maintaining steering control. The locked wheel becomes inactive and cannot be powered, thereby avoiding clashes or collision.
Adaptive Cruise Control :
This is an advanced system that automatically controls the speed of a moving car. The system uses a long radar sensor to detect the cars within the safe distance. Depending on the detection, the system adjusts the throttle and brakes to keep the speed and gap within safe considerations.
Tire-Pressure Monitoring :
This system helps in monitoring the air pressure inside all the tyres of the car. This helps in notifying the driver about improper inflated tyres, increasing tyre lie, reducing fuel consumption, and enhancing car performance.
Traction Control :
This system helps in controlling the grip of car wheels during acceleration or on slippery surfaces. The computerized system keeps a check on the speed of car wheel and the car road speed. It tries to maintain a balance and regulates the car movement safely.
