The face-lifted Toyota Innova is adorned with a simple, fresh and appealing touch. The key motive behind introducing a refreshed Innova is to keep the SUV high in competition with other Indian SUVs, including the forthcoming SUVs Tata Indicruz and Mahindra Ingenio.
The next car by Toyota for India is the Yaris hatchback. This is a premium hatchback aimed to compete with successful hatchbacks like Maruti Suzuki Swift, Skoda Fabia and even the recently launched Tata Indica Vista.
The forthcoming Yaris hatchback will be available in both petrol and diesel. The petrol variant will be equipped with a 1.3L DOHC VVT-I engine whereas the diesel version with a 1.4L D4-D turbo engine. Both the engines will be coupled with a five speed manual transmission and an optional four speed automatic transmission system. Digital instrumental cluster housed on the central console, a trademark of Yaris, adds beauty and grace to the car interior. Toyota has laid special emphasis on safety features and feels proud to have a five star safety rating in the Euro-NCAP for Yaris. This upcoming car is expected to bring a revolution in the premium hatchback segment as it is one of the most successful cars in the global car market.
Toyota also plans to introduce Yaris sedan in India, a car that is a super success in North America. In India the car will stand against Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. The upcoming car with its unique and styling cues will be available with a sporting front end and slightly bulbous structure. Like the hatchback, the Yaris sedan will also be available in both petrol and diesel. The diesel counterpart will share the same engine as that of the Yaris hatchback whereas the petrol version will be available with a 1.5L DOHC VVT-I engine. The car will also have the trademark of Yaris, digital instrumental cluster on the central console.
